Randstad Digital is searching for an experienced Software Engineer for a unique consultancy assignment with ABB Robotics in Mölndal. This role is part of a Consult-to-Permanent program offering an exceptional path to direct employment with our client.

At ABB Robotics, you will be part of a globally distributed R&D organization, with the Mölndal team focusing on developing the RobotStudio product family—a complete suite of tools for robotic programming, modeling, simulation, and offline programming of ABB robots.

We are looking for a driven, experienced C#/.NET developer to join this highly skilled software team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability; to succeed, you need to be a confident and driven engineer, comfortable taking ownership, and capable of quickly adapting to new environments and technical solutions.

This consultant role with the client offers the chance for an extension or, more importantly, a transition to direct employment with ABB Robotics upon completion of the assignment period. As ABB values close collaboration and team synergy, we are primarily seeking consultants who can work on-site in Mölndal at least 4 out of 5 weekdays.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining innovative, commercial desktop applications within the RobotStudio product family using C#/.NET.
• Working with colleagues worldwide to shape the future of industrial and collaborative robotics.
• Applying a strategic, long-term perspective while diving deep into technical details to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborating effectively within the agile software team, inspiring others, and contributing to shared success.
• Prioritizing effectively and clearly understanding technical trade-offs in the development process.
• Working in a structured way with quality assurance, including unit and integration testing, to maintain high-quality software standards.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proficiency in C# and experience building robust desktop applications.
• Familiarity with C++ and WPF.
• Solid understanding of the .NET framework and its capabilities for scalable, efficient software.
• Experience with 3D graphics or robotics—a strong plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English. If you’re not yet fluent in Swedish, you’re eager to learn and likely already making progress.
• Availability to work primarily on-site at ABB Robotics in Mölndal, Sweden.
