Software Developer

Do you want to combine your passion for programming and being outdoors? We are now searching for a Software Developer, that will play a pivotal part in developing and ensuring the technology for our Harvesting tool.

The role:

In this role you will have several areas of responsibilities; Testing and Troubleshooting, Requirement demand towards suppliers, hands-on work and Documentation and Reporting. Therefore, you play an important part in AirForestry’s development. You will optimize electronic components, systems, and software for the prototypes, perform extensive testing and troubleshooting of both hardware and software to ensure reliability and performance, and provide constructive feedback to the team to support continuous improvement. Further, this means cooperating with suppliers to ensure that components and materials meet our specifications and quality demands, you are a hands-on team member who executes building and repairing prototypes to ensure our projects runs smoothly but also produce and maintain detailed documentation and requirement specification of our projects. You will also be a part of the development and maintenance of our software applications.

Need to have:

• Relevant education within robotics, electronics or similar area.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working with software development, mechatronics or other related areas.
• Solid understanding of real-time systems, knowledge of Linux, and programming in C/C++.
• Confident in working both independently and in teams.
• Strong problem solver and analytical ability.
• Strong ownership, dependability.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with STM32 microcontrollers and their development environments.
• Familiarity with Python and QML.
• A good understanding of wireless communication technology.
• Strong relationship to the forest, either through work experience or other relevant experience.
